“He was a valued member of our mighty party, the National Resistance Movement (NRM), and he will be remembered for his loyalty to the party,” she added.

“We extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family during this difficult time. May his soul rest in eternal peace.”

Kalisa previously served as NRM Chairperson for Jinja Municipality, where he became known for his mobilisation efforts and active involvement in strengthening party structures within the region.

In January this year, President Yoweri Museveni appointed him Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Duties, elevating him to one of the advisory roles within government.

His death adds to growing concern over road safety on major highways across Uganda, where fatal crashes continue to claim lives despite ongoing sensitisation campaigns by traffic authorities.

By press time, funeral arrangements had not yet been officially communicated by family members or NRM officials.
